That makes two of us! Office 2008 is just awful. It's the slowest software I've ever used in OS X. On both my Quad Core system running 10.6.4 and on my brother's i5 Macbook Pro, Office will freeze up and take several seconds to respond. I just recently *legally* acquired Office 2010 for Windows, and it's everything I hope Office 2011 will be.
